AI-First Screening Call

Purpose

Run a 20-minute first call that reliably separates executors from architects, and produce notes a hiring manager can act on.

Structure (20 minutes)

1. Context (2 min). Role, team, and the outcome the hire owns.
2. Trajectory (5 min). Ask what changed in how they work over the last two years. Listen for process redesign, not tool adoption.
3. Leverage probe (6 min). "Describe a task you no longer do manually. What replaced it, and who else benefits?" Follow up twice on specifics: what broke, how they verified output, who uses it now.
4. Judgment probe (4 min). "Where do you deliberately not use AI, and why?" A candidate with no answer has not worked at depth.
5. Their questions (3 min). Note whether they ask about outcomes and constraints, or about perks and process.

Output format

Return:

• Recommendation: advance / hold / decline.
• Pillar read: a 1-4 score with one line of evidence for Architect, Auditor and Multiplier.
• Strongest evidence: one verbatim quote.
• Risk: the single biggest open question for the next round.

Rules

• Do not score anything without a concrete example behind it.
• Tool names alone are never evidence.
• If two probes produce only generalities, recommend decline and say why.
